Participants must be at least 15 years old by the last day of the course and able to successfully complete the required swim test.
We currently provide:
- Lifeguard Certification (includes CPR/AED & First Aid)
- Lifeguard Recertification
- CPR/AED Certification
The swim test follows American Red Cross standards and typically includes:
- A 300-yard continuous swim using front crawl and breaststroke
- 2 minutes of treading water using only your legs
- A timed event retrieving a 10 lb. brick from the deep end and swimming it back
Lifeguarding Certification: Valid for 2 years
CPR/AED Certification (NYC): Valid for 1 year and must be renewed annually
Recertification: Must be completed before your certification expires
After successfully completing the course and passing all requirements, your American Red Cross certification will be issued digitally within a week.
Yes. The American Red Cross requires that all scheduled hours are completed to earn certification.
Missing class time may prevent you from being certified. Please plan to attend all sessions in full.

Swim Test Failure: If you fail the swim test, you are eligible for a refund of your course fee.
Yes, as long as you contact us 48 hours before your scheduled session. Changes requested within 48 hours cannot be accommodated.
